Perchy shows a coin’s up-to-date price in your Mac’s notch, the dead space at the top of the screen. Hover and it opens: the price, a chart you can scrub, and a shelf of coins to flick through.

If a price in the menu bar is all you want, a single-purpose ticker app does that job. Perchy is for when you also want the chart, the alerts and a converter one hover away, and the same notch to hold your music, calendar, clipboard and files.

• Prices from Perchy’s price service (the same cached file for every Mac; no coin list or identifier is sent), with exchanges directly as backup, and tokens traded only on DEXs priced from their on-chain trading pairs.
• Free refreshes every 5 minutes for 2 coins. Pro refreshes every minute by default (or every 2 minutes, if you prefer) for up to 30 coins.
• Charts: one day on Free; on Pro, every range from the last hour to a coin’s whole history (1H, 1D, 1W, 1M, 3M, 6M, 1Y and ALL), with the price and time under the pointer and the day’s high and low (and volume, on Pro). Tokens traded only on DEXs have no chart.

Tap the bell to set an alert that fires once or every time the price crosses your level, after a second reading confirms the cross. The alert shows in the notch, and as a Mac notification if you allow them. Free has 1 alert; Pro has up to 20.

Perchy reads public prices. No account is needed to use Perchy (buyers sign in with their purchase email only to manage their Macs), and there is nothing to connect: it never asks for a wallet, a seed phrase, a private key, an exchange API key or an exchange login. There is no Perchy token, and there never will be.
